About Mathurine Art Ltd

Howard was born on 21st September 1962 in the village of Lyndhurst which is West of the city of Southampton. Due to Southampton being one of the worlds major ports Howard worked in the shipping industry for many years. He had always been a keen artist in all areas including Tattooing. He left the shipping industry in 2004 to pursue a full time career in Art. His main influences were in the pop art scene painting images of movie & music icons . Howards interpretation of pop art differs from many of the main stream artists that produce block painted images & he has developed an individual style of his own . Howards other main areas of art are portrait paintings in oils. These are fine art paintings that take many hours to complete & are undertaken by commissions. Howard paints many commissions for private collectors & hotels in many various styles from fine art to contemporary pieces, Please feel free to browse this site & view many of the paintings that Howard has painted.
