Howard Met the owners at Winchester's food & wine festival where they asked him if he could provide paintings for the restaurant in a spanish theme. Howard lived in Spain many years ago and he painted portraits & murals in many bars & Restaurants so he is very familiar with Spanish art & culture.
This is a family-run bar and restaurant owned and run by two chefs from Hungary!
They have taken over the old Mash Tun pub and hope you will come along and try out there dishes and see what we've done to the place to make it a really enjoyable place to dine with your friends.
In case you're wondering about the name - El Sabio - it was the name given to King Alfonso X the 13th century King of Castile and Leon.
